Background Information
The new era of intense customer service and high labour costs
created a need for portion control products. Apart from becoming a
fresh seafood (flake specialist) processor, the company developed a
wide range of quality, convenient and innovative Heat ‘n ‘ Serve
Products literally side by side with our Sales / Distribution and
marketing departments.
In 1989 Nick and Haris concentrated on this value added
manufacturing venture called Courtgem Pty. Ltd. (‘GEM’ brand). The
manufacturing venture harnessed Nick’s brilliant talents for
developing and building prototype food processing equipment
in-house. The initial plant was leased in Reservoir and built from
scratch taking 3 years to perfect. Our new plant is now part of the
existing new building and contains fully automated production lines
allowing consistent product quality and portion control in the most
hygienic conditions possible. Most importantly however, Courtgem
Pty. Ltd., expressed the basic philosophy of the family to strive
towards continues improvement in quality, variety, value and total
reliability.
